Dungeon Keys
The Cove's tougher dungeons are locked, and the only way in is with a key. Keys are won down in the sewers from Astrid, the Beast Handler, who keeps a cage of dangerous beasts — each one guarding the key to a different dungeon. Best a beast in single combat and its key is yours.

Finding Astrid
Astrid only opens her doors to proven adventurers. You'll unlock her after you've cleared your first real dungeon, the Abandoned Mine. Once that's done, head into the sewers and seek her out.

The Beast Handler Menu
Talk to Astrid to open her menu — pick which beast to challenge and check what key it drops.

The Four Keys
Astrid can set you against four beasts, each holding the key to its dungeon:
| Beast Key | Opens |
|---|---|
| Skeleton Key | The Skeleton dungeon |
| Dracula Key | The Dracula dungeon |
| Ancient Ruins Key | The Ancient Ruins dungeon |
| Jungle Key | The Jungle dungeon |
The Beasts
Each key is guarded by its own beast — these are some of the hardest one-on-one fights on the server.

How the Beast Fight Works
This isn't a normal dungeon run. When you step in to challenge a beast, the rules change:
- Your inventory is stored. Everything you're carrying is safely set aside the moment you enter.
- You fight with a preset loadout. Astrid hands everyone the same starting gear, so the fight is about skill, not who has the best armour.
- Upgrade before you go in. Talk to Astrid and spend Nectar to improve your preset loadout, giving yourself a better shot at the beast.
- Win, leave, or die. Kill the beast and you walk away with its key. Leave or fall, and you walk away empty-handed.
- Your gear comes back. However the fight ends, your stored inventory is returned to you exactly as it was. The preset gear never follows you out.
Upgrading Your Loadout
Spend Nectar at Astrid's upgrade menu to strengthen the preset gear you bring into the beast fight. Each upgrade tilts a tough fight a little more in your favour.

One challenge per 24 hours
Every attempt starts a 24-hour cooldown, whether you killed the beast, left, or died. The cooldown is shared across all four keys, so you can challenge one beast now and a different one once the timer is up. Pick your fight carefully and upgrade your loadout before you commit.
Why Bother?
The keys are your ticket into the Cove's harder instanced dungeons, where the real loot lives. The beast fight is the gate; clear it and the dungeon proper is yours to raid.
Bring the key — and a party
Locked dungeons check for a key on every player entering. If you're running with a party, everyone needs their own key. Farm a few before a group run.
