Currency & Banking

Every drop of honey in Paradise Cove has value, and the Cove runs on three currencies. Learn what each one does, how to earn it, and how to keep it safe, and you'll never be caught short at the marketplace.

This guide covers the three currencies, how the Cove's bank protects your wealth, how to fund your town, and where the Store fits in.

The Three Currencies

Start with Gold

If you're new, focus on Gold first. Take a job, sell what you gather, and vote daily. Nectar and JartonCoins will follow naturally as you complete quests and climb the Battle Pass.

Banking Your Gold

The Cove has a bank, and using it is the single most important habit a smart player can build.

The bank. Deposit here and your Gold survives death.

Here's the rule that matters most:

Death penalty: 25% of your wallet Gold

When you die, you lose 25% of the Gold you are currently carrying (your wallet balance). Gold deposited in the bank is completely safe and is never touched. Banked Gold survives death unconditionally.

The bank has no interest and no fees, so there is zero downside to depositing everything you're not actively spending.

The Death Penalty in Full

When you die:

1. You lose 25% of your wallet Gold immediately. There is no way to recover this Gold once lost.
2. Your items and XP are saved to a grave at the spot you died. The grave lasts 3 minutes, then the contents drop on the ground for anyone to pick up.
3. Your banked Gold is unaffected.

Bank before risky trips

Before you head into the wild, a dangerous cave, or a PvP zone, deposit your Gold. Carry only what you're willing to lose. It takes ten seconds and saves you a fortune.

How to bank

1. Head to a bank terminal in the Cove (look for them around spawn and major hubs).
2. Interact with the terminal to open your account.

3. Deposit the Gold you want to keep safe. It's now protected, no matter what happens to you out there.
4. Withdraw whenever you need spending money for a trade or a trip.

The flow is simple: earn Gold, bank Gold, withdraw only what you plan to spend or risk.

Your Town's Bank

If you're part of a town, it has its own shared account, and it's separate from your personal Gold. Towns need funds to stay claimed and cover their upkeep, so keeping the town bank healthy keeps your home on the map.

• /town deposit moves your Gold into the town's shared account to help fund it.
• /town withdraw pulls funds back out (if you have permission).

Pitching in with /town deposit is how a town survives. A well-funded town never falls to ruin.

The Store

The Cove is kept buzzing thanks to the Store, where real-money purchases support the server. There you'll find Nectar, ranks, cosmetics, and crate keys. Buying from the Store is the best way to back the server while picking up perks for yourself. Have a look around when you're ready to support the Cove.

Early in your journey, the questline introduces Beatrice, the Cove's banker. She'll walk you through your first deposit and show you why keeping your Gold safe matters. Follow her lead, and you'll have banking down before your first dangerous adventure. See the story guide for more.

Why This All Matters

• Banking protects your wealth. Death has a price; the bank makes that price zero.
• The death penalty is real. You lose 25% of your unbanked Gold when you fall, with no recovery. Plan around it.
• Graves buy you time. You have 3 minutes to reach your grave before your items drop. Don't dawdle.
• Funded towns endure. /town deposit keeps your community alive and claimed.

Manage your Gold well and Paradise Cove becomes a much sweeter place to live.
