Pets & Eggs
Every wanderer in Paradise Cove deserves a companion. Pets are loyal little friends that trail behind you as you explore, mine, and build, and the right one will even fight at your side. From buzzing critters to stranger things hatched at Ivy's incubation stand, your pet is both a badge of your journey through the Cove and a genuine ally.
What Are Pets?
Pets are companions with custom models that follow you around the world. Plenty are happy to simply look good and keep you company, but many are more than decoration: you can feed them to earn experience, level them up, and certain companions will fight alongside you, giving you a real edge in combat. You can summon, swap, and dismiss them whenever you like.
Open your collection with /pets to see every companion you've unlocked and pick which one walks beside you.
More than a mascot
Don't write your pet off as decoration. Feed it to gain experience and raise its level, and bring a combat-capable companion along to fight for you. A well-fed, high-level pet is a genuine advantage, not just a good look.
Eggs & Incubation
You don't just find most pets — you hatch them. Pets come from eggs, and eggs come in four rarities:

| Epic | Sought-after companions you'll be proud to show off. |
| Legendary | The rarest hatches in the Cove. Bragging rights guaranteed. |
Higher-rarity eggs yield rarer, more impressive pets, so a Legendary egg is worth hanging onto.
How to Hatch an Egg
Hatching happens at the incubation stand in Ivy's pet area at spawn. Ivy is the Cove's resident pet breeder, and her stand is where every egg comes to life.
- Get an egg (see below).
- Hold your egg and right-click the incubation stand to open the hatching menu.
- Start incubating. Starting costs a little nectar or gold, taken when you begin. Your egg then floats and spins above the stand while it hatches.
- Watch the progress. A floating display above your egg shows its name, its star rating, a live progress bar, and the exact time remaining.
- Wait. Incubation runs in real time — go mine, fight a KOTH, or log off and let nature do its thing. The wait scales with the egg's rarity.
- Come back and claim. When the timer hits zero the egg freezes and reads completed — right-click the stand to collect your freshly hatched pet.
- Your new companion now lives in
/pets, ready to summon.
Your egg, your stand
Every player gets their own egg on the stand. Several people can hatch at the same stand at once — you only ever see your own egg, and nobody can block the stand from you.
Changed your mind?
Cancel an incubation and your egg comes straight back to you, so it's never lost. (The nectar or gold spent to start isn't refunded.)
Real-time incubation
Eggs incubate in real-world time, not ticks. Drop one off at the stand, go about your business, and return later to claim your pet. The wait scales with how special the egg is.
How to Get Eggs
Eggs turn up all over Paradise Cove for players who stay active:
- Crates — pop crate keys for a shot at eggs across all four rarities.
- Events — seasonal happenings and limited-time events love to dish out eggs.
- Quests — progressing the story and side quests can reward eggs.
- Rewards — rank-ups, milestones, and other goodies sometimes include them.
The more you play, vote, and adventure, the more eggs find their way into your hands.
Pets in the Story
Your companions aren't an afterthought in Paradise Cove's tale. The main questline finale itself points you toward /pets — a fitting reward for everything you've survived to reach it. Hatch wisely; you'll want a good one by your side when the story closes.
