Events & Minigames

Mining honey and building towns is the heart of Paradise Cove, but it's far from all there is. Between the grind, the Cove throws fights, parties, races, and challenges your way. Some open when the whole server pulls together, and some are waiting at spawn whenever you're up for them. Here's what to do when you want a break from the dig.

KOTH: King of the Hill

The King of the Hill structure
The KOTH control point. Hold it long enough to win.

A contested showdown over a single control point. Players pile in, the fighting kicks off, and whoever racks up enough zone time walks away with the loot.

How it works:

  • Hold the capture zone to accumulate time toward the 300-second threshold.
  • You have a 20-minute window to hit it. Holding it continuously is faster, but losing and retaking the point still counts.
  • Minimum 2 players must be online and contesting. KOTH will not run solo.
  • The winner receives 1 KothReward Voucher, which contains a pool of Gold pouches, Nectar, crate keys, and the exclusive KOTH Longsword (Sharpness V / Unbreaking III / Bane of Arthropods III / Smite III).

No fixed schedule

KOTH has no automated schedule. Events are started and announced by staff. Watch the announcements channel in Discord or keep an eye on in-game chat for a callout.

This is PvP

KOTH is open combat. Gear up before you go in and bank your Gold first, because death has consequences. See the Economy guide for banking.

Pinata Party

The Pinata Party is the server-wide event that opens when the community hits its shared vote goal of 50 votes. Only voters get in.

The Pinata Party has its own page

The full rundown (HP formula, loot table, and last-hit reward) is on the Pinata Party page. Cast your votes to help trigger it.

Honey Clicker

The Honey Clicker minigame
The Honey Clicker, tucked away at spawn.

A cookie-clicker-style minigame at spawn. Click to rack up honey and climb the monthly leaderboard.

Honey Clicker has its own page

The full rundown (anti-cheat cap, monthly prize, and the live leaderboard) is on the Honey Clicker page.

Parkour

The parkour course at spawn
The parkour course at spawn. Chase the fastest time.

Four infinite procedural courses at spawn, each calibrated to a different skill level: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Balanced. Every run is generated fresh, so no two courses play the same way.

  • How to join: Head to the parkour area at spawn and pick your course.
  • What you win: Personal-best records and leaderboard glory. There are currently no item or currency rewards configured for parkour. It's a skills-only challenge.

Procedural courses

The courses are generated, not hand-built, so they loop indefinitely without repeating. Pick a difficulty and go as long as you want.

Gladiator Arena

The Gladiator Arena entrance
The Gladiator Arena. Catch the ferry out for a formal duel.

Organized one-on-one PvP duels for players who like their fights formal. A ferry runs the route between Paradise Cove, the Marketplace, and the arena, so getting there is part of the ride.

  • How to join: Catch the ferry/ship that runs between Paradise Cove, the Marketplace, and the arena, then step in for a duel.
  • What you win: Glory, and a step forward in the story.

A Chapter II trial

The Gladiator Arena is not just for fun. Winning here is one of the trials in Chapter II of the story. Two birds, one duel. See the Side Quests.
